Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 June 2026

This privacy policy explains how Zayn (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit our website or get in touch with us. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Zayn is a digital marketing service operated by Hasan Mohamedali, a sole trader trading as “Zayn”, based in the United Kingdom.

For any questions about this policy or your personal data, you can contact us at hello@zayndigital.co.uk.

For data protection purposes, the data controller is Hasan Mohamedali trading as Zayn.

What information we collect

We only collect the information we need to respond to you and run our website:

  • Information you give us via our contact form — your name, email address, business name, and the contents of your message.
  • Technical information collected automatically — when you visit the site, our hosting provider may log standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. This is used for security, performance, and to keep the site running.

We do not knowingly collect any special category data, and our website is not intended for children under 16.

We use your personal data to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and provide the information or services you request — our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
  • Maintain the security and performance of our website — our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a safe, reliable site.

We will only use your information for the purpose you provided it for. We will not send you marketing emails unless you have separately asked us to, and you can opt out at any time.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics. Some essential technical data may be processed by our hosting provider to deliver and secure the site (see below). We also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser’s IP address is shared with Google in order to display those fonts.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate the website, who act as our data processors:

  • Netlify — hosts our website and processes contact form submissions on our behalf. Form data you submit is stored in our Netlify account so we can read and respond to your enquiry. See Netlify’s privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy.
  • Google Fonts — serves the fonts used on the site. See Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision) to protect your data.

How long we keep your information

We keep contact enquiries only as long as necessary to respond to you and for our legitimate business records — typically up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we enter into an ongoing working relationship or you ask us to delete your data sooner.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Ask us to delete your data (“right to erasure”)
  • Object to or restrict how we use your data
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@zayndigital.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO):

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
